High-performance manufacturing facilities often face two critical energy challenges: high electricity consumption and strict requirements for power stability. These challenges are particularly evident in carbon fiber production, where continuous processes demand reliable and cost-efficient energy supply.

Jiangsu Hengshen, a leading carbon fiber manufacturer with a fully integrated production chain, operates energy-intensive processes that require both stable power supply and cost control.

To address these challenges, Hoenergy delivered an industrial energy storage system for manufacturing, integrated with the site’s existing 14 MW distributed PV system, enabling optimized energy management and improved power reliability for industrial operations.
Hoenergy delivered an integrated C&I energy storage solution with PV integration, including:

Peak shaving and load balancing
The system shifts energy consumption by charging during off-peak periods and discharging during peak demand, reducing load fluctuations and optimizing electricity usage.
PV integration and self-consumption optimization
The system stores excess solar generation and redistributes it when needed, improving on-site renewable energy utilization.
Reliable backup power
The storage system provides fast-response backup power, ensuring uninterrupted operation of critical manufacturing processes.
Lower electricity costs
The system reduces energy procurement costs by optimizing electricity consumption based on time-of-use pricing.
Improved production reliability
Stable power supply minimizes the risk of production interruptions, which is critical for high-precision carbon fiber manufacturing.
Higher renewable energy utilization
By coordinating with the PV system, the project increases self-consumption of renewable energy and reduces wasted generation.
