250 kW / 522 kWh
Hradec Králové, Czech Republic
October 2025
Located in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, this sports center operates badminton and tennis courts with high-power lighting and HVAC systems, creating concentrated electricity demand of about 500 kWh per day.
Although the venue had installed solar PV, a mismatch between solar generation and facility load resulted in low self-consumption and wasted renewable energy.

To address this challenge, Hoenergy deployed a 250 kW / 522 kWh C&I energy storage system in Czech Republic, designed as a battery energy storage system for sports facilities. The solution enables PV and battery storage integration, improving renewable energy utilization, reducing electricity costs, and ensuring reliable power supply for the venue.
The project was supported by Hoenergy’s Czech partner Deldey and local warehouse infrastructure, ensuring fast delivery, spare parts availability, and efficient regional service.

🔹 Maximized PV utilization
🔹 Reliable power backup
● Lower electricity costs
Excess solar energy is stored during the day and used during peak-price periods, reducing reliance on grid electricity and lowering operating costs.
● Additional revenue opportunities
By responding to dynamic electricity prices, the system can charge when prices are low and discharge when prices rise, creating new value from energy trading.
● Higher renewable energy utilization
The PV and battery storage integration significantly increases on-site solar self-consumption and minimizes solar curtailment.
● Improved operational reliability
Backup power capability ensures stable electricity supply for lighting, HVAC systems, and daily sports facility operations.
● AC/DC separated safety design
The physical separation between the battery compartment and electrical compartment improves operational safety and prevents fault propagation within the system.
● Simplified on-site wiring
The AC/DC separated architecture significantly simplifies on-site electrical wiring, reducing installation complexity and lowering overall EPC installation costs.
